Medical Student Education in Psychiatry

The Office of Medical Student Education in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior organizes and administers training in human behavior and mental health care over all four years of medical school. This includes teacher, course design and development, administration, and advising students in both preclinical and clinical coursework. The Office also serves as a liaison for medical students seeking opportunities for shadowing, additional clinical experience, and research opportunities. In addition, it provides a contact point for guiding students considering/planning a career in psychiatry.

The Office organizes and administers two required courses in the medical school curriculum during the M2 and M3 years as well as elective courses in the M3 and M4 years.
